About Arby's of Houma

Owner-HelenHello, and welcome to the Arby's of Houma 'About Us' page. We're glad that you are interested in the history of our store, and of us. We feel that if you know a little about us then you will more fully appreciate the reasons why we take such pride in our store and the experience that we give to our customers.

My name is Helen Daigle, and my husband and I weren't always in the 'restaurant biz.' My husband's name is Dan, and he is a pilot for Southwest Airlines, and has been for over 17 years now. We have 2 wonderful children, Andrea and Daniel.

We got the idea to open up an Arby's due to our long-time love for eating at Arby's restaurants everywhere we've lived. When we moved here, we were shocked to find that there wasn't a local Arby's. It took a few years of talking about it, but we finally decided to get our feet wet and try our hand at opening one up. It wasn't just for us, because all of our friends who'd eaten at an Arby's loved the idea. It was the best choice for us, as far as fast food restaurants go, because we felt that an Arby's would provide superior menu choices and excellent nutrition; much better than some other fast food chains. I'm not afraid to admit that it was a little harder than anticipated, but we feel it was worth the work, because we now have a chance to give back to the community that has been such a blessing to us throughout the years.

Owners-Dan & HelenWe opened the store in February of 2008. There's been a steep learning curve, but we've come a long way. When we first opened, a great deal of our employees were friends of our children, and most of the others were students as well. It's been almost 2 years now, and a lot has changed, but we still have some loyal and exceptional employees who are still hanging with us.

Well, we're still here, and hope to be for a very long time. Also, we do realize that you, our loyal and valued customers, are the reason this is all possible. Without your support and business, we wouldn't be able to continue serving this fine community that we've come to appreciate and love so much. We thank you for reading this short article of our history and hope to see you in our store soon. :)

P.S.: If you have any additional comments, questions, or ideas for how we can improve the experience for you at our store, feel free to send them via our Feedback Form on the 'Contact Us' page.
